Finding the Perfect Pointe Shoe Fit at Dance Fashions Warehouse

Choosing the right pointe shoe is one of the most important moments in a dancer’s journey. A proper fitting protects your feet, supports your technique, and builds confidence every time you step en pointe. At Dance Fashions Warehouse, pointe shoe fitting isn’t rushed or treated like a transaction. It’s a personalized experience designed around your unique feet and your level of training.

Whether you are being fitted for your very first pair or you are an experienced dancer needing a new model, our goal is simple: find the shoe that truly works for you.

What Makes a Pointe Shoe Fitting at Dance Fashions Warehouse Different?

We take time with every dancer. A typical fitting lasts about 30–45 minutes, giving our fitters the opportunity to understand your feet, movement, and technical needs.

We work with dancers of all levels and carry trusted pointe shoe brands including Nikolay, Bloch, Suffolk, and Capezio, allowing us to compare styles and shapes until the right match is found.

No two feet are the same, and no two dancers move the same. That’s why we never “guess” your size or rush the process.

What Happens During Your Fitting?

Foot AssessmentYour fitter will examine your foot shape, arch type, toe length, flexibility, and alignment. This helps determine which styles and brands will support you best.

Trying Multiple ShoesYou’ll try on different models and sizes from various brands. This allows us to compare fit, comfort, support, and platform stability.

Testing Support and FlexibilityWe evaluate how the shoe supports your arch and how easily you can articulate through demi-pointe and pointe.

Movement CheckYou will be asked to do relevés and basic pointe work to see how the shoe performs during movement.

Fine-Tuning the FitAdjustments may be made by changing size, width, box shape, shank strength, or padding to get the most precise fit possible.

EducationWe explain how the shoe should feel, what to watch for, and how to care for your pointe shoes.
